Frequently Asked Questions
General
Team H2O Spray recommends having your house washed every one to two years. This will provide protection from harmful algae, mold, and other contaminants. Routine exterior cleaning is the easiest and most effective way to keep your home looking beautiful year-round.
Each job is unique, therefore the time it takes to complete is dependent on many factors. The site of the surface and the amount of buildup play a factor in the length of time spent cleaning your home. Our professional technicians will work on your home to deliver the best results possible.
Team H2O Spray's services are priced based on many factors, including square footage, job, materials being used, and type of surfaces being cleaned. We can provide quotes and schedule services over the phone. No in-person estimates are needed, in most cases.
Our experts will ask a few questions about your property and verify information using state auditor websites and satellite technology to provide you with an accurate quote. Some jobs do require onsite quotes.
Yes, our cleansers are biodegradable, and our process is eco-friendly. Rest assured; we will make every effort to protect your landscape. You can assist us by moving potted plants out of the immediate area we will be cleaning. If you have plants you are concerned about, DO NOT COVER THEM! Heavy plastics can actually cause more harm to plants than our roof cleaning mixture. If you have concerns, please address them with Team H2O Spray and we can cover your greenery with TYVEK or similar breathable fabric. You may notice browning on a few leaves here and there, this is normal and does not mean your plant is dead or dying. Dry, damaged and weak plants may have a more severe reaction to a cleaning. We will make every effort to prevent landscape damage, but we are killing a “plant” that is living on your exterior and trying to not kill the plants living in your yard!
Absolutely! Washing the exterior of your home adds value and curb appeal to your home. Many customers come to us to help sell their homes and find a clean home sells faster!
Day of Service
No. You do not need to be home. We do ask that you close your windows and doors on your service date and provide us access to a working water spigot. Your presence is solely at your discretion.
Each job is scheduled with a window of arrival time, we do our best to work within these windows for your convenience.
Yes, we do require access to a working water spigot on the outside of the house.

Service Specific
Absolutely! The “green stuff” you see on your home is a form of algae that affects many of Ohio homes each year. Team H2O Spray’s 3-step soft wash is designed to safely eliminate not only algae from your siding, but also mold, and emulsify dirt and grime.
Team H2O Spray’s house wash utilizes an industry leading 3-step soft wash process that combines safe pressure with our proprietary biodegradable cleansers to remove dirt, grime, mildew, algae, as well as other contaminants from your home’s exterior.
We offer exterior window cleaning using our RODI system which filters and purifies the water. We lightly brush each window with a soft bristle brush and follow up with a spot free rinse, leaving you with a sparkling clean shine.
Yes! We have an effective process that is safe for cleaning brick surfaces.
Yes! All visible debris and blockages are hand removed from gutters and downspouts and rinsed with water. We follow with a complete water test on downspouts to ensure proper flow.
The short answer is Gloeocapsa Magma which is a cyanobacteria that closely resembles an algae. Team H2O Spray’s roof treatment is designed to remove these black streaks and neutralize the infestation at its roots, protecting your roof!
It is NEVER recommended to ‘power wash’ a roof. Therefore, we perform what is called a “roof cleaning,” where we apply a specialized algaecide designed to eliminate moss, lichens, and black streaks. This is performed at a very low pressure to avoid structural damage, providing the best results possible for your home.
Yes, accessible roofs will be blown off, while hard to reach places may be brushed gently to remove loose debris.
It is not recommended to physically remove moss from your roof at the time of service, as this can damage the shingles. However, cleaning will neutralize moss, lichens and ferns at their roots and allow them to fall off the roof over time naturally.
The length of time in which it takes moss, lichens and ferns to fall off naturally is dependent on how deep their roots were embedded.
No. Stains may lighten up in color, but our process is not designed to remove oil/rust stains or inorganic marks.
